History of this wiki
The Wiki started late 2004 on an initiative of Steven Clift. He formed an international team around an UK-project to select the best existing practices of e-democracy and e-government. Their work you will find, starting from the pages Briefs, an introduction.
This Wiki portion of the DoWire site is funded by the UK Local E-democracy National Project as a drafting platform. The result of that drafting for the UK will remain on this site and will be updated by the DoWire community.
That UK-project was the starting point for an ongoing collaborative study of the best practices of e-government and e-democracy in the wiki drafting environment. Starting point: Best Practices Guide
For more mundane issues see the list of process terms and wiki best practices.
Conventions
We have to share some conventions, to cooperate. They need to work themselves out. They are always in an evolutionary state.
Some tools
Participants are asked to introduce themselves. Our collected introductions you find on the page introductions collected.
We share interesting news and interesting links to e-democracy and e-government projects. Also we do some background thinking.
