A strong presentation on the usage of Online Policy Forums. I was particularly interested in the amount of statistical information that has been used to support your documentation. The breakdown on each consultation will be an effective tool for government officals to see participation levels.
My question would be whether or not there is any level of accountability for city officials to be part of the Online Policy Forums. As you rightly state, it is strategic for them to participate and they may very well benefit from citizen suggestions. It is also a weakness that there are not as many city officals as the project would like to see.
I understand from the work you have presented that several discussion from the Online Policy Forums made it to further government policy decisions. I think this was also a good move on your part to include these.
This case study with the support docs is appropiate for the scope of the work being done by the Best Practices group.
