On top of best practice exchange, sessions may produce "top five" issues lists via the conference wiki web site for broad dissemination post-conference. To propose a topic, such as webcasting, e-mail response systems, e-democracy marketing, e-consultation and online forums, advanced technologies and tools for democracy, wired elected officials, etc., send is your proposals: localedeminbox@dowire.org
This wiki allows us to propose and detail the topics for the small group sessions. With expressions of participant interest, you will be asked to convene or co-convene a session.
At the symposium, convenors are asked to introduce a session topic in five minutes or less. A set of standard discussion questions will be provided to each convenor. These may be used or discarded by the group.
You do not need to be an expert in the session topics that you attend. However, we will organise at least one more introductory e-democracy session in the plenary hall.
Highlights from each session will be presented on a wiki page assigned to each session.
Attendees are encouraged to bring wi-fi enabled laptops to the conference for real-time use of the wiki and cross conference chat sessions.
Attendees interested in presenting specific experiences may do so at a session as well as use this wiki to share content before, after, or during the event.
Please note that convening a session does not wave your modest conference fee.
