Start with the Weekend
Bring your family to the most "fun" city in the United States! In 2003, USA Today reported that Minneapolis ranked the most "fun" city in the United States. Yeah, we couldn't believe it either ... then they explained it was about all-around fun, you know family fun.
The Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul are the center of a metropolitian area with 3 million residents. An extensive park system, world class museums, including the newly expanded modern Walker Art Center and the Minneapolis Institutue of Art, the largest indoor mall in the United States - the Mall of America, and other attractions await attendees.
Those staying at the Holiday Inn Metrodome can use the hotel's free shuttle service to reach a number of attractions within 3 miles such as the:
- RiverCity Trolley Tour
- Walk down Nicollet Mall and stop at an outdoor cafe for "summer" life, then check out winter life in the second floorSkyway System - Start with the IDS Crystal Court off Nicollet Mall
- Explore the Minneapolis riverfront ... walk across the Stone Arch Bridge and view the only waterfall in the entire Mississippi River (it starts in MN) then visit the new Mill City Museum (Minneapolis was once the world's flour milling capitol).
- Finally, whooop it up in the evening in the Warehouse District.
