Disambiguate
From DoWire Wiki
This is a wiki best practice.
What if two wiki articles have the same name? This happens when a topic is relevant to multiple differing purposes or points of view which are competing for the same topic name (see NPOV).
This may be handled in several ways.
- dominant POV wins. if friendly to other POVs, the article includes links to a disambiguation page for any browsers interested in other definitions.
- both articles share the page, separated by a horizontal line.
- both articles split to their own pages, using parenthesis to identify the POV.
- no POV wins. links to the more specific articles are simply added to a list.
Articles that unintentionally link to a disambiguation page should be fixed to link to the more-specific article.
