Democaster next steps
From DoWire Wiki
The UK Local e-Democracy National Project has approved upgrading Democaster from a "prototype" to a "product." Our April 2006 target is to set up 5 local community webcasters on this shared low cost, open source-oriented system. In terms of "community" we are focused on local civic groups, Parish Councils, smaller local authorities, etc. with meetings or public events and audio-friendly content to share.
You are encouraged to advise our work directly or via the Webcasting CoP. This effort is being led by Steven Clift, programmed by Mentormate, and overseen by Fraser Henderson with Northlincs Net.
This page is our drafting zone for phase 2 work.
