DoWire.Org is powered by four main elements.

1. Kubrick Template - Adapted from a design by Michael Heilemann. Normally used with WordPress, but we've extended it.

2. MediaWiki - The open source wiki used by Wikipedia. So any skills you build here can be transferred to that awesome project.

3. WordPress - A leading open source weblog system. A number of plug-ins will be used as well.

4. OnlineGroups.Net using GroupServer - A new open source tool for online communities of practice hosted by OnlineGroup.Net. We also use this tool to distribute site announcements.
