Zombie Dance Party, Simulated WMDs and E-Democracy

Here is a great example of media agenda-setting fostered by E-Democracy.Org’s Issues Forums.

A discussion in the Minnepolis Issues Forum about the lack of attention to the arrest of street dancers dressed as zombies led to some interesting media coverage today (and more discussion). Reports in the StarTribune and the PioneerPress will probably now go “viral” across the media landscape and the blogosphere.

As an example of how important it is to have actual laws online, the discussion linked to the statute about “simulated weapon of mass destruction.” (It actually exists.) They had boomboxes radios for on their backs for dancing, apparently with some wires sticking out.
